Athlete Code of Conduct
Version 2026-09-27
Accurate information
The athlete must provide truthful and current information relevant to training, including experience, limitations, symptoms, equipment and training environment. Important changes must be communicated promptly to the coach.
Exercise safety
Exercise involves inherent risk. The athlete must follow the coach’s safety instructions, use suitable equipment and space, avoid loads or movements they cannot perform safely, and stop immediately if pain, dizziness, breathing difficulty or another concerning symptom occurs. Emergency or medical concerns require qualified local assistance, not the app.
No unauthorised sharing
Training plans are personal unless the coach states otherwise. The athlete must not share accounts, copy paid programmes for others, falsify results, upload another person’s data or use the app to evade payment or professional safeguards.
Respectful conduct
Harassment, threats, discrimination, sexual misconduct, abusive communication, fraud, retaliation and knowingly false reports are prohibited. The athlete must respect coaches, other athletes, staff and third parties.
Uploads and privacy
The athlete may only upload videos or content they are entitled to share and must avoid recording bystanders without permission. Sensitive information should be limited to what the coach needs for the agreed service.
Responsibility
The athlete remains responsible for their own conduct, for following lawful safety instructions and for deciding whether to seek medical advice. Acceptance of risk does not waive liability that cannot legally be excluded and does not excuse unsafe, unlawful or negligent professional conduct.
Enforcement
Bastyra may warn, restrict, suspend or close accounts after a documented safety review. Except where urgent action is needed, the person concerned will have an opportunity to respond and request review.
